Kate rolled over today!!!! :-)

Kate rolled from her back to her belly for the first time today. The best part was that Sam and I were there to cheer her on every step of the way!! My little Angel
getting stronger every day! Please no crawling yet!

Playing with her toys

sooooo sooo serious!

Sam is on bedrest!!!

So Sam's new thing is to pretend she is pregnant. As you can see she looks very pregnant and very serious about it. She told me she was on bed rest and her blood pressure was 67. Today (when she was pregnant again) she told me she cannot drink wine. I have no idea where she got this from. HA!!!

Is there anything better than 400 smiles a day from a 4 month old?!?!?

Kate was 4 months on July 17th. She had her 4 moth check up and shots today. She weighed in at 15lbs and 15 ozs and she is 26 inches. As I suspected she is about the size of a 6-7 month old. She is about the same as Sam was at this age. I am bias but I believe she is getting prettier every day. She might be one of the easiest babies I've ever seen. She is so laid back (for now) and go with the flow........ getting her naps in when she can and sleeping through the night. I don't know if there is anything better than when she smiles at me 400 times a day for no reason at all. We all love her to pieces!!!!

The greatest big sister ever!!!

Sam is such a great big sister. Kate ate cereal for the first time and who else was there to help out and get in on all the action was none other than Sam the greatest big sister ever. Kate did a great job with the feeding, however, she did have an upset tummy afterward and was very fussy. We are going to try again tomorrow. We have been having so much fun this summer. Visiting water parks, pools, zoo, childrens museum. We have also been spending time with lots of friends. Sam is really turning a corner with behavior (long story) but I have seen major improvements in the last couple of weeks. The girls and I are loving every minute of our time together!!!!

July = Black Eyes+ Fireworks + Sister Love + New Do!!!!!

July has been a great month so far!! We are really getting into a routine staying home together. Sam has been working on her writing and art projects. She can identify almost all of her letters and even knows the sounds they make. I've also noticed how creative she can be when she sits down to do her art projects. Kate changes every day. She has started talking a lot more the last couple of days and loves to give kisses (open mouth of course). The biggest news of the month is Sam's new do. She decided to cut all of her hair off. Although it was beautiful and girly Sam stays busy and it was causing her lots of problems. She didn't want it brushed, no pony tails, food in her hair, she chewed on it, got it caught in the swing, the list goes on. I had a pit in my stomach when I saw the curls drop to the floor but I have to say she sure looks cute (and grown up) with her new style. It has been nice to not hear her scream about it the last two days. I'm bias but I think she looks pretty cute!!! Another great adventure has been the development of yet ANOTHER black eye. She was playing in the basement and loves to walk or run while looking behind her. Needless to say she ran smack into the pool table. Apparently she takes after her mother. My mom said I had a few black eyes myself when I was her age. I also love how she frowns for these black eye pics. She will look back and laugh at these when she is a teenager. Daddy bought fireworks for Sam on the 4th. We canceled our party with her friends because the weather was bad so we did our own little fireworks display and still managed to have a lot of fun!!!
