The Girls being silly!

Sam had been asking her dad for a while if he would take her for a ride on Grandad's boat. Daddy finally caught Grandad at just the right time and they were able to go on one of the last warm evenings before fall came. As you can see she had a great time and even helped out!

Our little Katiebug is 6 months old!!!

Little Kate is not so little. I took her to her 6 month check up and the dr stated it as "she is a VERY health baby" HA She was 28 inches 99% and 19lbs and 14oz might as well be 20lbs also 99%. She is such a great baby. She fusses when she wants food or a nap. FINALLY we have figured the bedtime thing out. For the last 2 weeks (knock on wood) she has slept 12 to 13 hours each night. YAY!!! I can only hope it continues. She is very interactive with us, Sam seems to be the one to get her to laugh the most. She is very ticklish. She LOVES the jumparoo. She will jump for up to an hour straight. I'm not exaggerating when I say she jumps. I'm tring to get a video of her to post. She is such a fun baby!!!

Bathtime Buddies!

I got this new little seat for Kate to sit in while taking a bath. Now Sam can take a bath with Kate and it is so much easier for me to get both of the girls bathed in one shot. They love taking baths together. Kate laughs at Sam the whole time and Sam of course loves being with her. It is too cute!!!

Our vacation to South Haven Michigan (Lake Michigan)

We had such a great trip to Michigan. The kids had a blast and the weather could not have been more perfect. We went to the beach and pool every day and would cook out or go out to dinner in the evenings. We cannot wait to do it again next year! The view from our house

Sam's First Bike!

The other day Sam borrowed her neighbor/friend Quinn's bike. She put her helmet on and rode up and down the street. Zane and I had never seen her so focused on something. The determination in her eyes was very cute! The very next day Sam's Grandad brought over a shiny new bike for her to ride. She woke up the next morning and wanted to ride around the block. I put Kate in the stroller and she did indeed make it around the block which was a 1 mile bike ride. I was very impressed!! :-)

Kate was 5 months August 17th!

It is going WAY too fast! My sweet little baby is getting so big! She got her first cold a couple of weeks ago and my sweet laid back baby was super fussy. I knew something was wrong because the kid just doesn't cry or fuss much. All she does is smile. I don't lay her on her back to play much anymore....she turns over to her tummy and gets frustrated. Although, she did flip back over to her back and seemed so surprised that she did it. The past 3 days I've also stopped swaddling her (yes she is old to be swaddled). This has been a bit of a task. The first night she woke up about every hour, but went right back to sleep. I think she is beginning to get it, but I also think her two bottom teeth are about to pop through which is not helping the process. We just all love her so much and feel so blessed to have her in our family!!!!

Sister Love Part II

Will it continue when they are teenagers? They love each other so much. It is so cute most of the pictures are first thing in the morning. They both love to cuddle up and Sam kisses Kate and Kate just keeps looking at her and smiling. Sam normally is not a fan of the camera, but when she is with her sister she always asks me to take their picture. I love watching them together too cute!!
