My Perfect Mothers day!! ~2010~

I woke up at 7am to the sun shining through the window. The house was completely silent. I rushed into the kitchen to make my coffee thinking I may get to take a few sips before I hear little foot steps or whines from the crib. My coffee was made and still not a peep. I grabbed my mug and headed back for my bed. I sat there in complete silence sipping my coffee and enjoying the peace. I didn't have to talk to anyone or even think about anything. By 8:15 the whole reason today exists began..... My Mother's Day......!! My girls woke up with big smiles. Sam immediately ran over to Zane and whispered in his ear and gently pulled a card from the drawer. On the front I see she had neatly printed the word "mom". Inside she had printed her name. Also, inside the card I had a certificate for a massage next weekend!!!!!! :)
Still there were more surprises in store..........
They then told me to get dressed and they were taking me to breakfast. Taking a 4 year old and 1 year old to any food establishment is never an easy task. This day Kate danced quietly in her high chair while she probably ate more than any of us??!!?? Sam sat politely and ate her breakfast no whining and no fidgeting. Could this really turn out to the be the best mothers day yet? Then we went back home to prepare for our annual mothers day bbq. Everyone chipped in and we were ready for the guests to arrive. One was my mom who just so happened to have her 60th birthday today. What a great day!!!
All of a sudden we look over and Kate is walking across the room. We thought this was a fluke because for the past couple of weeks she has been taking steps here and there. Sure enough more came. After that she even walked for the camera. Wow could this day have been any more PERFECT?!
As I sit back and reflect I could not feel anymore blessed in life. Most importantly my purpose right now as a mother!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Happy MOTHERS day to all the amazing moms I know!!

Our Trip to Grandpa Bob's and Grandma Kathy's

I made my first trip to Florida with the girls to visit my Dad and Kathy. The plane ride was definitely a challenge. Grandpa Bob and Grandma Kathy had every thing waiting at their house so we didn't have to bring anything which made the trip possible. We had such a great visit. Sam got TONS of swimming time. I might be confident to say she learned to swim on that trip. We will have a retest when the pools open this summer. The pool was so cold that we had to make trips back and fourth from the pool to the hot tub. Well It was cold for the adults not Sam haha! We also visited the Shell Factory which both girls loved. IT was so cute to watch the two of them....When Sam would get excited about an animal Kate would do the same. We didn't make it to the beach this visit. We thought Kate may still be a little young. I hope to go again sooner than later and maybe we can visit the beach then. We had such a great visit with Grandpa Bob and Grandma Kathy and miss them every day since we left!!!!!

Sam loves playing golf. She and Daddy go out every night and practice. He just bought her a set of jr clubs and she plans to take lessons this summer.

Kate likes hunting for geese. She stares out the window for long periods of time saying over and over again "geese" "geese"

The Easter Bunny Came to our House!!!!!!!

The Butler Game and Warm Weather!!!

We had a few people over to watchthe Butler game and they won!! Yay! The kids had a blast and as you can see in the pictures they are having a picnic on the floor. Dont worry I had just steamed cleaned the floor haha!! Kate is sporting her new hat from the the Carters. She didn't last long. She partied for about 30 minutes and was ready for bed!!! The kids went out and sprinkled some food for the Easter Bunny before they left and he ate it all!!!!!!!!!!!

I had to get some pictures of my cutie pies in their summer gear. We had so much fun last Thurs and Friday enjoying the warm weather and playing outside. Sam is crying in her picture she was dancing around in her pretty dress and fell down right before the photo shoot.
