Apple Picking

Last weekend we had a free weekend which NEVER happens. It was a great weekend for a family activity. The girls were absolutely loving every minute of it. We went to Tuttles Orchard to pick apples. We we arrived we were pleasantly surprised to find out that they had pony rides, hay rides, a play area for kids, and apple picking of course!! I was able to get tons of great photos. Kate walked around with an apple in her hand most of the time it was really funny she ate quite a bit of it. Sam's face was covered in carmel after she devoured her carmel apple. It was a great time and ended with a pan full of warm apple crisp made with the super fresh apples. YUM!!

Our Beautiful Flower Girl!!

Sam was the flower girl in Jordan (Zane's brother) and Leah's wedding. We so nervous when we went to the rehearsal and Sam said she didn't want to do it and She didn't want to wear the beautiful dress that she didn't want to take off when she had tried it on a week ago. Sam surprised us and did an amazing job! It was so cute to watch the other flower girl (Sage) turn around as they were walking down the isle and ask Sam to borrow some rose petals because she had run out. We were so proud of her and thought she looked absolutely beautiful!!!

First day of PreK at Sam's new School

Sam did such a great job at her new school today. She got up, got her clothes on, and brushed her hair before she came down stairs. This is a big change from last year. I stayed with her for about 10 minutes and she was fine. I was so proud of her. I cannot believe that after this year she will be in kindergarten!!! I never realized how much they looked alike until this picture

Little Bug was 17 Months on the 17th!!!

Kate still continues to grow and learn new things. She is at such a cute stage. She loves her "sis" and doesn't like to be without her. I'm sure Kate will really miss Sam when she starts school in a couple of weeks. She does a great job of communicating what she wants. I think she is starting to thin out and is definitely eating less.

This week she has been sick. She hasn't been sick much in the 17 months of her life. I dont remember her being sick since February. She has had a high fever, but not really any other symptoms. It keeps spiking at night so needless to say I haven't had a lot of sleep the past few nights. She wakes up saying "baby, baby". She wants me to rock her and sing rock a bye baby. How precious is that? She seems better today so I think we are at the end of it. Kate will soon be 18 months and it is so hard to believe!! riding with "sis" in the bike trailer

The Childrens Museum

Just the girls and I took a trip to the children's museum on Friday. I thought it would be the perfect day since it has been 97 degrees every day and the kids are back in school. Well I was a little off. It was the busiest day I've ever seen. I guess everyone had the same idea as me. I definitely dont think all the kids are back in school yet. Regardless the girls had a lot of fun. This was Kate's first time getting out of the stroller to explore so it was a whole new dynamic keeping track of two little people. looking way too big!
