Sam let mommy do her hair... Finally!!!

Sam is going through a phase where she does not want me to touch her hair. It is usually just to the side in a barrette. Last week she let me put her hair in pigtails for school. I had to post a picture.

A funny story about Sam. At school if the kids get into trouble the teachers ask them to go sit on a pile of pillows and "take a moment to think, and get their bodies under control." The other night Sam was not acting good at all. She kept getting into trouble. When I went to bed she asked me if she drove me crazy then she asked me if she made me nuts. I told her sometimes she does. Then she said, "Mommy, do I need to get my body under control?" I just started dying laughing. It was just too funny not to share. :-)

Last weekend we went to vist my friend Tami from work. Sam got to play with her daughter Ava. They had so much fun. These are pictures of them watching Toy Story.

Sam had a very busy weekend. Sam plays on a slide like this at gymnastics. I took her to get one just like it on Saturday for the back yard. Right now it is in the living room.

On Sunday she went with her cousin Lauren to visit her great grandma's and great grandpa. They were so excited to see thier great grandaughters. Another funny story about Sam.... Zane and I were taking her for a walk one day and we were talking about how people are not supposed to have their boats parked in their driveways. Well, now everytime we drive by this particular house she yells, "Get your stinking boat out of da driveway" It is so funny! I told Zane we will never be able to walk past their house again for fear that they will be outside and she will yell it. :-)

The Dora Vanity

Sam loves to do Dora's hair. She always asks me for a ponytail holder and then works with her hair. Dora's hair is a rats nest, but it is so funny to watch. She gets so serious. She came upstairs last night after doing Dora's hair and had the ponytail holder around her wrist. It is so funny how they copy everything we do. Enjoy!

Sam will always ask for her sunglasses if we are going somewhere or outside to play. You see her wearing them here but normally she just sits them on top of her head. She wants to wear them the way she sees Mommy, Daddy, and her teacher Miss Lisa wearing them.

Sam's 4th of July weekend!

Sam had such a great 4th of July weekend. She played with all of her friends and got to stay up late. Thursday night she started by having a cookout with friends and watched fireworks. Friday she went to symphony on the prairie. Saturday she ended her holiday weekend with a party and swimming with all of her buddies. Sam with her friends Taylor, Chase, and Maddie

Sam's Weekend!

Sam's weekend started with her Saturday morning gymnastics class. I didn't get as many pictures as I had hoped. She didn't really stay with the class for this session. She was wondering around the gym doing her own thing. Shocking!!

Gymnastics and swimming can wear anyone out!!

She loves to walk around in her high heels and talk on her cell phone. I have know idea where she got this from. Must be from one of her grandmas!! :-)

Sam's cousin Lauren and friend Emily came over to babysit. They dressed Sam up and did her hair. Sam thought it was so cool!

The weekend ended with a trip to the Fishers Freedom Festival with Tay Tay to watch the parade.

Sam is taking Gymnastics!

Sam has started taking gymnastics class every Saturday morning. She has a lot of energy so this is a good place to get some of it out. Last week was her first class and she absolutely loved it. We had to get her a speical oufit for class. As you will see she is posing in it and almost slept in it the other night because we could not get her to take it off. I will post more pics after her class this Saturday.

Keeping up with Sam

I thought this would be a fun way to keep up with Sam. One of my good friends has a family member that does this for her little girl. I find myself clicking on it all the time to see if there are any new updates on their little girl. Sam has grandparents, cousins, aunts and uncles that live out of town and this is a great way to watch Sam grow. I hope you enjoy!
